Lancashire Evening Post Makin' Music Competition (Dec 06) Hundreds of Lancashire school children have been singing their hearts out for a chance to be crowned the most musical youngsters in the county. Video journalists from the Lancashire Evening Post and lep.co.uk have been to 41 schools recording classes, groups and choirs to record them performing a musical piece of their choice. http://www2.prestontoday.net/makingmusic/ Their efforts were uploaded onto the LEP page and voting coupons appeared in the paper throughout November for the public to vote with. On Friday the winning school was announced, Samlesbury Primary School in Preston. The school won £50 of gift vouchers, a class sized percussion pack, 5 backing track albums, a selection of piano music and Shore Microphone.
